Singapore trip

I just came back from my Singapore trip, more of business than pleasure. This years annual Asia Pacific PCC meeting was held in Singapore. Basically reps from all the Asia Pacific offices were there to attend. Being the person in charge of Malaysia, naturally had to attend. Since this this my 1st time attending this meet it was a good opportunity for me to get to know the people from Tokyo and the rest of the region.

The last time i came to Singapore it was 10 years ago, itupun via the causeway bridge. I'm not suprised things have changed so much. I didn't do much sight seeing or shopping cause I had meetings to attend plus i dont do much shopping on my visits. The only shopping i did was to buy cigarretes at the near by 7-11, itupun cost me SGD11.20. very expensive if you convert it.

I'll be posting pictures of my trip to the PSA port in my next entry. Its an example of an efficient and organised port

Till next time....

Very tired

Selamat Hari Raya

Selamat Hari Raya saya ucapkan to those who have stumbled onto my blog.

Its been quite a hectic month/week for me.Since it was my wifes turn to go back to her kampung, we all headed back to kuching for the whole week. In my opinion raya in kuching is different than in KL. Kemeriahan lain,1st day of raya people were still visiting the friends and relatives till the late hours of the day. All over town houses were lit with lampu "kelip-kelip" very meriah i can say.

The concept of open house is true to the meaning. The house is basically open to anyone. very muhibah, cant say much bout KL since you cant just let any tom, dick or harry to enter right?People still wear the baju melayu till the 7th day during visiting. Its good that my daughter dapat merasa beraya macam ni. As someone who was born and bred in a concrete jungle, at times i felt kind of akward since the longest i've ever worn a baju melayu was during my wedding day.

When i come back from Raya its going to be very hectic. I'll be heading of to Singapore and Bangkok. Ive never liked traveling but its been years since i've been a way on business..seronok jugak rasanya.

Till next time......

Selamat Hari Raya
