Can we accept change?

Sepanjang minggu ni,the office is alive with activity.Org-org yang tak dikenali keluar masuk and the conference and meeting always penuh.Rupa-rupanya they all are consultants who are devising ways to improve productivity dan benda-benda yang sewaktu denganya.Eversince the parent company noticed our "potential",the company had to be "restructured" in line with the parent. So "anak" kena ikut cakap "mak ngan bapak" diaorg. The main question is are these changes perlu? or are these so called consultants milking the company?
Last week all the staff kena buat online questionaire, they called it a "climate survey".Basically they will ask questions on you feel bout the company and the management.I basically disagreed with everything.I have been here almost 8 months but theres nothing solid to show, which basically frustrates me.From the survey diaorg make a conclusion and i have a feeling that more than 80% are not satisfied with the company or the management. So what is the solution?Do you change the management?very unlikely?sack or transfer the staff who feel tak puas hati? This is the likely scenario.
I have worked in many companies, but the place i learnt the most was in westport. The management would listen to whatever yang you tak puas hati.Eventhough changes sometimes takde, but at least diaorg dengar. They accept kritikan, diaorg takde lah nak melompat bila kita bukak mulut.nevertheless they were not that perfect but at least they listen. In my current employment there is no 2 way communication, bagi kritikan yang membina they will mark you for life.If you cannot accept your weaknesses then macam mana you nak go forward. The main problem with malay companies are like that. They have their cronies, duit poket etc.Its hard for me to imgaine management to accept change.
Sekarang ni,i'm getting quite fed up and bored of my situation. There is no direction, kerja macam ayam takde kepala,walking/working like a bunch of zombies.I'm pondering on leaving, theres no point in me staying in an establishment where the management are all gila kuasa. In 1 or 2 months time a new division will be created, they will call it strategic planning. The person who is going to head it is someone who i would rather see dead.If this is what the so called consultants think is going to improve productivity, well they are all dead wrong. The person in charge is an asshole who has an ego the size of whale and thinks he is "lelaki melayu terakhir".If this person is qualified and knows the industry then i wont be writing all this.I cant accept this change, because the person is not qualified.
In my opinion, turun naik sesuatu syarikat bergantung pada 2 which is the management and the worker. Both are related,if either one screw another dedua ler sakit. There has to be give and take.Management wants wonders from their staff, but without the necessary tool nothing can be achieved.Management has to listen to the voice of the staff, and find ways to improve things.Pekerja pulak tak boleh take advantage on the management. There must be balance in the equation if not no harmony can be achieved.
Me and a few friends have opened up a business and between 4 of us have over 50 years of experience working and managing people.Bukan nak cakap besar or angkat bakul sendiri but whatever good things that we have learnt will be applied to the company, and the bad things left in the dustbin....god willing
